AM- Hopped on the VRRT from our camp site.  I took the lead once we crossed the Webster Flat road per request of JD. A couple of minutes later I tripped and popped right back up.  I have bad sinuses today and that made breathing hard. 5.13 miles

PM- Ran another easy 25. The team was out to help each other after some great capain meetings. It was fun to see! 2.58 miles

AM- Ran from camp and headed back out on the VRRT (love that trail). My focus was to help "Chad" out. He did awesome and turned around about 30 minutes into the run.  I decided to press on vs head back with Nathan.  Then I caught up to Roberts and the girls.  I took a little lead and Keaton followed and passed me. I encouraged him to press on and I followed him all the way to the van at Te-Ah campground.  I ran well and I was very impressed by Keaton. Our run was about 100 minutes and had some good climbs. We even ran a little extra once we got to the van. The rain was nice!  I added a little once we got back to camp to make sure everyone was back. 10.71 miles

PM- Muddy and fun 20 with the team. Everyone was goofing around in the mud and rain. I am very proud to be a part of this team! 2.52 miles

AM- The dreaded uphill run!  It's funny to see how much these kids dread certain runs.  At the same time they show a lot of positivity once we get out on it.  My goal was to help some level 1 guys make it up the steep climbs.  As I headed out I ran with the girls, Roberts, Trey, and Nathan.  It was fun and I coasted some downhills with Jess. After 20 mins of downhill we of course had to flip it back.  I helped Nathan maintain a good pace and rely on his affirmations. At one point we heard some dogs barking from a side trail, I quickly ran up to protect the girls (mainly Alli). The dogs weren't going to do anything but I yelled at them to go home.  Surprisingly they both turned away after I yelled. 6.74 miles (1.50 warm up on my own)

Camp was amazing!  I am excited to get the season going and see these kids in action!

AM- Ran some random trails starting from some bathrooms at Tropic Reservoir. I found Keyhole Arch. It reminded me of running in Bryce Canyon. Nice single track through pink rocks. 6.20 miles

PM- Worst run of the week! I got covered by mosquitos. So many bites! 4 miles

Ran out about 6 miles on the main road from camp. Then I found a sign with a trail labeled: “Bryce canyon boundary.” I thought I would go explore that for a couple of miles. I did some good climbing then ran long hollow back towards camp. It was longer than expected. I wanted to run 14 miles and ended up running 17.5 miles
